Technical Systems Engineer Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Currently looking for someone with a strong technical background with a good leadership background and communication skills to act like a traffic cop for these data centers.
In addition, there is some project management mixed in for large roll-outs involving the partners -- Tracking status of the various parts.
This person may be responsible for some architecture of some of these pieces.
They are rolling out an automated infrastructure.
Would be great to find someone with a background in the security space - that?d be a plus.
Group Overview :
Content and Security group ? all overall security for video platform, for content licensed from vendors.
They are responsible for the lifecycle of the security process from start to finish.
Technically - the group is encryption, devices that consume video, STB, iOS/mobile devices.
Also responsible for a subset for syndication partners such as Shaw, Cox, and they are bringing Rogers on board (Partner data centers).
They have 10-12 enterprise applications that are web based that serve up keys, licenses, etc.
Those systems are developed in-house in Philadelphia.
This team, the operations and deployment team do the on-going maintenance and support of those applications.
Job Requirements :
Strong understanding of network technologies and understanding of DNS.
Understanding of application deployment and hosting.
Load balancing and scaling.
Past experience working in cloud environments would be helpful (AWS or Azure or Openstack).
Some DevOps background would be a nice to have. Someone who has an interest in software development and project management would fit here.
Understanding of network layouts for application deployment and hosting.
Being detail oriented (complex list of tasks).
Interpersonal skills.
