Assistant Director of Nursing Job Opening in Marseilles, Illinois - Primary Duty
The primary purpose of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in directing and supervising the day-to-day activities of the facility in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
Essential Job Functions
Maintains accurate and detailed reports and records
Assessing resident condition
Assisting with the oversight of provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and general nursing services according to the resident?s care plan and physician directed orders
Conducts and participates in daily rounds to monitor the delivery of nursing care
Participating as a member of the facility?s management team in planning, policy formation and administrative decision-making, with particular emphasis on the facility?s nursing services
Assisting in the development and maintenance of in-service education programs for nursing staff
Complying with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards
Participating in the implementation of the facility?s infection control program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Well developed ability to communicate both orally and written
Ability to provide quality customer service for high quality standards
Critical thinking in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions or approaches to problems
Setting expectations and monitoring delegated tasks
