Accounts Payable Specialist Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - POSITION SUMMARY
Support Accounts Payable department in an accounts payable specialist role. Share processing of weekly check runs. Reconcile monthly and quarterly vendor statements. Review contracts for national account vendors.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Two years prior Accounting experience
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or related field preferred
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, experience with JD Edwards a plus
Experience in Retail or Restaurant accounting preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Process AP corporate invoices
Process upload entries for consolidated invoices
Process expense reports
Prepare month end accrual journal entries
Code utility invoices for review/approval
Process and print weekly check runs
Request and reconcile monthly and quarterly vendor statements
Reply to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
File weekly check copies
