We are actively searching for an OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE PROJECT MANAGER
Responsibilities:
The Operational Excellence Project Manager is a key player in delivering on the Quality and Profitability objectives of our client. This role is focused on delivering measurable improvements in a hospital laboratory environment. The Operations Excellence Project Manager must implement operational excellence practices within our client lab organization to deliver an improvement in lab quality, turn-around time and overall productivity.
Specific duties include:
Lead and Manage Process improvement projects to deliver measurable operational results.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the laboratory in Quality, Service, and overall Productivity.
Create a culture of continuous improvement and environment that embraces change within the laboratory
Facilitate process improvement and coach the client in the appropriate application of operational excellence tools and methods.
Assist client in the creation, monitoring, measurement and analysis of standardized processes.
Implement operational guidelines and standardized practices to support ongoing expansion of the quality culture across the lab organization.
Communicate to key management stakeholders on significant quality issues and business opportunities.
Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Although this role does not have administrative responsibility any staff, this role functions as a Manager. The Operations Excellence Project Manager will serve as a change agent in our client organization and drive results through influence rather than direct line authority. Therefore, the successful candidate will be comfortable working as an individual contributor, in leading others by example, have a track record of success in influencing change outside of traditional hierarchy.
Educational
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Lean Expert or Black Belt certification is highly preferred, ideally in a Laboratory, Clinical or healthcare environment.
A CLS is preferred but not required.
(Due to the nature of the role, demonstrated professional experience as outlined above takes higher priority to educational background.)
Professional Qualifications
Experience managing and leading teams in a hospital laboratory environment is preferred, i.e.: supervisor, manager or team lead, in areas such as, Front End, Accession Processing, Phlebotomy, act.
Experience with lab ISO certification process preferred.
Should have system wide exposure to a Lab, not only one department within a lab.
Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Strategic business acumen and strong analytical skills.
Background in managing Lean/Six Sigma projects and initiatives
