Developmental Disabilities- Team Coordinator Job Opening in Puyallup, Washington - Puyallup area residential program serving adults with developmental disabilities offers full-time supervisory position. Individual would support 8 clients residing in three residences and supervise the DSP staff who provide in-home care.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain staffing levels based on the DDA approved hours for each household and to meet client needs.
Ensure all shifts are covered by staff trained to work in the specific household.
Follow individual financial plan-food and household budgets.
Keep interior and exterior of household clean, appealing and personalized to the preference of the individual.
Schedule medical and dental appointments, follow-up with recommendations.
Maintain clear, concise and complete documentation of all healthcare information to include annual physical, labs, dental appointments, specialty care, physician orders and MARS.
Ensure delegated staff are available to complete any delegated tasks for the individual.
Complete peer coaching responsibilities with new staff members.
Be available to answer questions related to client preference, behavior management, and support needs.
Encourage staff to work toward client independence according to ISP and IISP, promote appropriate daily community involvement.
In conjunction with the dietitian, develop menus that are tailored to individual preferences.
Maximize client participation in grocery shopping and meal preparation.
Must be able to pass DSHS background check allowing unsupervised access to vulnerable adults.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
