Sr Network Engineer Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - Role: Sr. Network Engineer
Customer is migrating off of legacy multiple Cisco 6500's running CatOS to new Juniper switches. Layer2 only; no routing protocols. These resources will be responsible for discovering the currently connected devices, coordinating with Lumen application owners, developing a migration plan, and then executing the migration according to the plan.
Skills: 5-7 years of Network Engineering experience
. Must have CatOS, IOS, and JUNOS experience.
Must have service provider experience.
Must be versed in network discovery and troubleshooting.
Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
Ability to develop technical Method-of-Procedure documents and Visio diagrams.
Must be able to work overnight to execute maintenance windows.
Additional requirements: US Citizen or Green Card Holder; resources must be available to work maintenance windows scheduled during evenings or possibly weekends. Hours might not be full time on a weekly basis.
