Property Manager Job Opening in Newark, New jersey - Respected and seasoned property management company seeking a full time experienced Property Manager immediately for 230 units in Newark, NJ
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Completing move in and recertifications of applicants and current tenants
Maintaining 100% of collection of rent
Monitoring of current tenants and properties on a consistent basis
Maintaining properties within current budget restrictions
Overseeing an office and maintenance staff
Consistent auditing of current portfolio property files and completing corrections to ensure full compliance
Work with site management to ensure full compliance of files on future move ins as well as re-certifications
Inspect properties on a consistent basis to ensure they are maintained to the highest standards
Complete local, state and funding audits
Follow up on any property deficiencies noted to ensure prompt corrections
Work with vendors to obtain the best pricing and oversee completed work needed
Obtain vendor bids for projects needing completion
All other duties assigned by the Regional Property Manager
Compliance with all state, local, and federal fair housing laws along with LIHTC and ACC units
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree
Real Page/One Site Experience
5 years Property Management experience
5 years LIHTC/Tenant based section 8/ACC experience
COS or LIHTC certification
Strong people skills, attitude and appearance
Excellent verbal skills and telephone etiquette
Flexible, energetic, and organized
Ability to work independently, multitask, adapt to change and be a team player in a property management portfolio
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
Excellent problem solving and math skills
Background and drug test required

This position will be Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm position
