Newsday is currently seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to join our Planning and Analysis team in our Melville, NY office location. Reporting to the Manager, the Associate Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the Editorial & Marketing departments. Must exercise administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within functional area.
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance.
1-2 years finance experience in mid-sized or large company required.
Working knowledge of Oracle, ESSbase systems preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel required, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
