Controller Job Opening in New Berlin, Wisconsin - Damage Control is an established, full service general contractor specializing in commercial and residential large loss restoration.

The Controller position will be a key one in our organization and will report directly to the president.
Controller responsibilities include:
Preparing balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow and supporting schedules; comparing actual results to budgeted projections.
Manage cash flow and generate finance reports. Accomplish these requirements by designing and maintaining accounting processes and internal controls, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Design and implement overall budget forecasts on a quarterly basis, working within the scope of current project overview.
Assists with meeting budget requirements by monitoring expenditures and identifying and explaining variances. Any noted variances are investigated and recommendations for improvements are communicated.
Communicate with subcontractors and vendors on project cost projections and overall billing timelines.
Analyze overhead and staff production.
Report directly to the president and conduct weekly process meetings and updates.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience in Construction Management preferred
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
Extremely detail oriented and organized with ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently in a constantly changing environment
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
