Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc. is a leading established Home Health Care Agency. We currently have an opportunity for Peer Support Specialists in Haywood, McDowell, Buncombe, Henderson, and Transylvania Counties. The Peer Support Specialists we are seeking must be able to inspire other individuals through recovery training, outreach and provide support to adults receiving mental health or substance abuse services in the community.
The ideal Specialists will work with adults providing hope, encouragement, support, self-determination, and connection to the community. In addition, will assist in implementing and creating a recovery environment and acting as an advocate for the needs and rights of every person.
Qualifications:
Must have a least1 yearexperience in the Mental health arena
Have experienced their own recovery as a consumer of mental health services or substance use challenges
Must demonstrate maturity in their own recovery process
HS Diploma or GED
Valid driver?s license, reliable transportation
Good computer skills
Ability to work 32-40 hours a week
Ability to separate pressures of work and home
CNAs, Social Workers or Nurses are highly preferred
North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification required within 6 months
