We are a rapidly growing Boston-based medical device manufacturer looking for a medical sales professional with a strong, relevant background to vend our world-class products into the PT/chiropractic space. You?ll work with the array of PT and chiropractic and group practices, distributors selling to PTs and chiropractors, outpatient post-op/post-injury rehab facilities, centers, etc.--to introduce our equipment and encourage sales.

Who We Are
We are NormaTec ( / ) and our equipment rapidly and very successfully addresses compromised peripheral vascular circulation. Tens of thousands of patients nationwide use our safe, painless prescribed products for an array of conditions related to poor circulation in the arms and legs. Additionally, the enormously popular OTC equipment that we also make is the gold standard for rapid recovery in sports, widely used and prized by athletes, universities, pro teams and athletic organizations around the world. (It?s a particular kick watching a televised game and counting the many players who have bought our equipment.)
In other words, our products are used to successfully address both illness and wellness, exactly what PTs, chiropractors and sports rehab facilities do, so there are serious sales opportunities here.
Robust and reliable, our equipment is well engineered, perfectly packaged and beautifully designed for aesthetics and intuitive ease-of-use. In addition, we?re always improving and evolving, taking full advantage of technical advances, and new product launches are always on the drawing board. Excellent customer service is a company hallmark, we have strong media, marketing and graphic design capacity and we use advanced CRM software for a seamless customer journey and to far exceed expectations. In all, we offer truly superb product, service and clinical outcomes to enable your sales success.

The Job
We need you to establish relationships with PTs and chiropractors around the country and sell them on the many advantages our equipment can quickly and easily bring them and their patients.
For most PTs and chiropractors, our equipment is a capital expenditure and a deductible business expense. Depending on insurance coverage, they may be able to charge for in-office use of our devices or, alternatively, offer it as an add-on with an extra fee or even sell it to patients, becoming in essence one of our distributors. As such, you enable the practice to differentiate itself from competitors and provide it with a new revenue stream.
Illustration: a sports-specific PT practice can give patients access to--and charge for--the same recovery equipment used by professional teams and other sports organizations. Another example, we currently have agreements with medical device distributors selling our equipment to PTs and chiropractors. Your opportunity is to steward that relationship, promoting and furthering their efforts through creative pro-active marketing and sales strategies.
The position, based in our Newton Center, MA, office, will focus exclusively on the PT/chiropractor market and has a very incentivizing salary + commission arrangement based on agreed-upon goals.
While that?s the core of it, the sales pro in this position will also have a hand in product design, marketing and other efforts to strengthen and complement our relationships with customers. We?ll look to you for solid suggestions and on-going feedback from your target market.
Our Dream Candidate
We?re flexible but, ideally, you have lots of the following:
-relevant, quite successful marketing/sales experience
-contacts in the PT/chiropractor space
-understands the dynamics of PT and chiropractor practices
-understands medical insurance and its impact on the PT/chiro space
-able to meet agreed-on sales and other metrics
-can strategize and effectively implement marketing and sales efforts
-can do the deed and close the sale with the array of PT/chiro personalities and professional settings
-strong ability to prioritize
-highly organized
-always keeps things confidential (as a medical company, we adhere to strict regulations in this area)
-can contribute effectively and positively to company efforts and to the great team we?ve assembled
-is energetic and enthusiastic for always doing excellent work and helping co-workers do their work well
-a very pleasant personality (do you make it a great day for others?)
-always, always promptly follows through (things just can?t go into a black hole) -terrific work ethic: reliable, responsible, honest, on time
Equally important, we are most uninterested in loose cannons, Everest-sized egos or passive-aggressive types (please, spare us!) We are looking for an able, effective and experienced sales pro who will work within our system and team, offer thoughtful ways to improve and change and take us to the next level and beyond.
The position, by the way, responds to the Vice President of Sales, who will support and respect you, give you the room you need and allow you to make some mistakes, which is inevitable with any position. At the same time, you?ll need to gain his confidence you?re your excellent, timely performance.
