Outside Sales Representative - Software and Services Job Opening in Macon, Georgia - We are an established, well-respected software and services company that provides solutions to government offices within the United States. We are currently seeking an accountable, self-motivated, energetic, and driven sales professional that resides in the state of Georgia for an outside Sales opportunity.
The successful individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building relationships with government officials and increasing market share within their assigned territory. Proven ability to lead efforts to market and sell software products and services using technical, organizational and customer knowledge is a must. Primary responsibilities include:
Responsible for sales activities within assigned territory including prospecting, developing relationships, and closing sales to new accounts as well as increasing revenue with existing customers through cross-sales.
Work with marketing, sales support, and management to establish a marketing communication plan for the assigned territory to promote the company?s products and services.
Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner. Prepare sales and marketing proposals for customers on products and services. Actively participate in the coordination and facilitation of trade shows, user group meetings, and industry conventions.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations that affect the target market. Establish and maintain industry contacts to cultivate sales opportunities.
Participate in sales forecasting and planning. Research, develop, and maintain long and short range sales goals within assigned region. Produce regular sales planning and forecasting plans. Monitor, analyze, and communicate sales data, via management software, to contribute to the product/service planning. Maintain accurate records in the sales CRM regarding activity, pipeline development, and forecasting.
Provide problem resolution, client satisfaction, and sales follow-up.
The successful candidate will have:
Minimum of three years successful sales experience selling software solutions. Degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent experience.
Ability to be proficient in Company?s products and services, and communicate value to current and potential customers. An understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions. Ability to present new product concepts to the marketplace.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and Company staff. Solid interpersonal and communication skills in order to close deals and make presentations.
Excellent work ethic and sales abilities. Be a self-starter. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Be creative in identifying and developing relationships with customers and potential customers. Ability to formulate sales and marketing plans for designated territory, region or specific client needs.
Strong computer skills and technical knowledge ? i.e. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to succeed in a competitive, high-performance work environment.
