Sales Development Specialist- North- East Job Opening in Boston, Massachusetts - North-East Sales Development Specialist
The Market Development Specialist executes the long-term strategy for the specifically assigned business and delivers customer acquisition and sales volume commitments for each product line within the offering across selected channels of distribution. The Market Development Specialist generates pull through sales of the products and supports our distribution and dealer partners in the growth of the business in the assigned region primarily through prospecting and networking the end user community.

Regional Account Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cultivates new customer relationships, generates brand awareness, creates demand for all assigned products while employing full working knowledge of the selling process
Generate pull through sales of assigned products through the Architect, Contractor, dealer customers, end users, engineers and other material specifiers as required and by optimizing available tools to ensure proper reach to the marketplace. .
Training customer sales staff on merits and value proposition of products.
Monitors marketplace trends, market pricing and reports back to Regional Account Manager and Business Unit Manager.
Provides feedback on market programs, such as, positioning, advertising and public relations, product improvements and new product development as it relates to the region.
Establishes, develops and maintains strong business relationships with current customers and grows the existing customer base by using the company initiatives and training programs
Works with Palram Regional Account Manager, to execute corporate business goals and objectives.
Collaborate with Regional Account Manager and Business Unit Manager to develop and execute a yearly regional plan
Delivers regular reports on market conditions, market initiatives, product improvements and progress
Consults the Regional Account Manager for all pricing issues, territory routing, new accounts and territory strategy
Responsible to perform other duties and activities as directed
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Minimum of 1 to 5 years sales experience with existing distribution network such as dealers, contractors, architects, and facility managers
Ability to actively listen to a customer base, understand the customer?s business and needs
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work with a team collaborative approach
Strong computer skill set that maximizes planning and sharing market knowledge
Solid Organizational & Planning skills with attention to detail and in depth analysis
Ability to build relationships with a variety of professionals and co-workers
Strong aptitude for consultative selling
Excellent communication skills to include 1-on-1 and group presentations
Ability to effectively organize and plan the travel necessary within a regional territory
Curiosity to learn and expand beyond past learned behaviors
Strong ethical values
Ability to resolve conflict and offer solutions
Possesses skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Use of computer to enter data, create reports, correspondence, etc.
