Quality Assurance Engineer Job Opening in san diego, California - Quality Assurance Engineer We have been retained by a San Diego County client to locate them a QA Engineer in a contract role. The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring and improving product quality from prototype through end of manufacturing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for corrective action of customer returns, creating and maintaining product documentation, ie: PPAP, evaluate change requests, support customer builds/plant reviews. Generate periodic quality reports, be the voice of customer to manufacturing groups. Generate and follow-up on quality alerts, deviations, corrective action reports, 1st. article inspection. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors of Science Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills with emphasis on root cause analysis. PC experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Access, Project and Excel. Experience with data entry and graphing. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Quality tools: CpK, SPC, Gage R&R, 8-D�s, Five Why�s or equivalent, PPAP. Familiarity with DVD/CD players, LCD displays and SMD. Capability in reading schematics and selling up basic test benches including o-scopes, power suppliers and switch boxes. Contract rate is $40/hr. for 6 months.
