Project Manager - Preventing Unintended Pregnancy Job Opening in Jefferson City, Missouri - Missouri Family Health Council, Inc., (MFHC), a nonprofit organization based in Jefferson City, champions access for every individual to culturally sensitive, quality, sexual and reproductive health education and services by developing and managing family planning and related preventive reproductive health programs. MFHC is seeking a project manager to lead a one year, grant funded, planning process that will result in a work plan that will achieve a measurable reduction in unintended pregnancy in Missouri.
Position Summary:
This is a one year, grant funded project with the goal of creating a sustainable work plan to reduce unintended pregnancy in Missouri by building the capacity and efficiency of clinics to offer quality contraceptive care and the full range of contraceptive methods, including long acting reversible contraceptives (LARC), and developing strategies to increase male engagement in contraceptive care. The planning process will include organizing consultant and stakeholder meetings; family planning client focus groups; policy analysis; subcommittee work plan teams; and an assessment of the clinical knowledge, billing and administrative capacity, counseling provision, and LARC insertion capacity of family planning clinics including Title X clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other free standing and hospital based clinics. The position will be based out of MFHC?s Jefferson City office with a telecommuting option for a qualified candidate located in, or adjacent to, Missouri. Significant travel throughout Missouri will be required.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate all aspects of the project, including stakeholder engagement and correspondence, client engagement, coordination of consultants, management of subcommittees, reporting to the funder, and synthesis of the final plan.
Coordinate with evaluation and communications consultants to align efforts.
Closely work with Executive Director and partner organizations to develop responsibilities and timeline.
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and accountability.
Engage diverse stakeholders in the planning process and coordinate details of stakeholder sessions.
Create a survey tool to gain an accurate assessment of provider?s clinical knowledge of the full range of contraceptives.
Synthesize each subcommittee?s action plan into one cohesive plan and budget that will be presented to the funder.
Qualifications include:
Passion for MFHC?s mission of championing access for every individual to culturally sensitive, quality, sexual and reproductive health education and services.
Must be a self-starter with solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Bachelor?s degree in a related field (Public Health, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Affairs, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Management or Administration, etc.) Master?s Degree preferred.
At least three years of experience in program evaluation and/or project management. Record of accomplishment in interpretation of large quantitative data sets preferred.
Proven history of coordinating with multiple stakeholders or agencies to deliver project goals on time.
Experience in work plan development and coordination, as well as budget management.
Ability to work with diverse agency personnel and programs.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Must have a high comfort level with self-direction, as well as working closely with colleagues from multiple agencies.
Ability to travel.
Experience in reproductive health and contraceptive counseling and care a plus.
