Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Part Time Job Opening in Binghamton, New york - Indeed Hire and Cornerstone are partnered to find a Part Time LCSW
Cornerstone is a community based practice that focuses on providing care to the underserved population. Cornerstone is currently looking for a LCSW to work in an office setting that is integrated with a Primary Care practice model. Individual will collaborate with providers on-site to provide behavioral health and substance abuse support. This position also offers the opportunity for work with Tele-Behavioral Health and Mobile Mental Health. Position will be part-time 8-14 hours per week and is located our of our Binghamton, NY location.
Other Duties of the Counselor Include:
Provides diagnostic evaluations and psycho-social assessments to patients with defined mental health problems and who are at risk of or are currently abusing alcohol or drugs.
Assists patients and their families through individual, group and education conferences to understand, accept and follow treatment recommendations.
Refers patients and their families to specialized treatment programs in accordance with their needs; monitors and evaluates their progress.
Provides individual psychotherapy to a full caseload of patients for various mental health issues including individuals that require counseling, e.g. HIV/AIDS, Chemical Dependency.
Collaborates with the other department Directors to integrate care where needed
Maintains current and appropriate documentation in patient chart.
Assists the Director of Behavioral Health in conducting in-service training for Cornerstone's medical staff on identifying and dealing with substance abuse, depression screening and other mental health illnesses.
Acts as a mandated reporter in suspected child abuse cases.
Education Required:
Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Nursing, certified by New York State where applicable.
LMSW/LCSW is required.
Experience Required: * Minimum 3 - 5 years post-graduate experience preferred
