Staff Accountant Job Opening in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania - Position: Staff Accountant
Reports to: CFO
Paul Miller Trucking, based in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Staff Accountant within the company. The prospective employee who fills this role will be responsible for completing work within the Accounting department related to entering general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, completion of month end close and assisting other Accounting department personnel with various duties and responsibilities.
POTENTIAL CAREER PATH
Accounting Supervisor ? Assistant Controller ? Controller
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Entering banking General Ledger transactions.
Journal entries and all account reconciliations.
Completion of Month End Close in an efficient and timely manner.
Support Accounts Payable and Payroll when needed.
Preparation of quarterly and year end payroll tax returns.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
3-5 years? experience in Accounting environment or related Public Accounting skills.
Minimum 3 years extensive bookkeeping experience.
Payroll tax preparation Experience.
Proven skills in General Ledger Accrual Accounting.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains strongly preferred.
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet experience required.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently in a face paced work environment, with little to no supervision.
Problem solver and dynamic thinker.
High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
