Program Specialist - Hospital Improvement Innovation Network... Job Opening in Des Moines, Iowa - Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) is seeking a full-time Program Specialist. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the HIIN network, including performing day-to-day project support duties and promoting program initiatives.
Collaborates with team members and network hospitals to support the development, implementation and completion of quality improvement initiatives.
Works with team members to support and guide technical assistance efforts.
Prepares documentation (agenda, minutes, handouts, etc.) for internal team meetings and/or HIIN network meetings to support team and creates, updates and monitors timelines.
Assists with writing and formatting business specific documents. Coordinates documentation from multiple sources.
Communicates in a professional manner.
Assists with development and editing of business specific documents such as manuals, reports, and educational materials according to contract/program requirements. Ensures on-line or hard copy materials are accurate and in a professional format according to contract/program requirements.
Assists Program Director in the preparation of performance reports.
Performs support functions, such as answering program inquires via telephone or help desk, travel arrangements, registrations, scheduling onsite and offsite meetings and conference calls, answering phones, copying and distributing correspondence.
Stays knowledgeable of HIIN programmatic and operational requirements, as well as, products and manuals for training and support.
Interprets and communicates a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form to individuals and the HIIN network.
Performs basic data analysis and interpretation as needed.
Performs other duties within IHC as assigned.
Qualifications:
Two-year degree in business or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience. 2 ? 4 years? experience in project administrative support; demonstrated ability working with confidential information and in a deadline driven environment; demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve. One-year experience in health care, clinical and/or administrative role strongly preferred. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills strongly preferred. Strong understanding and ability to deliver consistent and positive customer service.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and networking, including Microsoft products. Experience with Excel and Access preferred. Experience working in a healthcare environment and/or knowledge of medical terminology and procedure coding is preferred. Experience supporting web-based applications, handling multiple projects and sensitive and/or confidential clinical information preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
