Accounts Payable Associate Job Opening in Alexandria, Virginia - Adcom Worldwide is a leading national Freight Forwarder located in Alexandria, VA.
We have a fast-paced environment and are looking to expand our staff by adding an Accounts Payable Associate ? Freight auditor for our Virginia location.
The candidate preferably will have at least 2 years of prior accounts payable experience. If you enjoy a fast paced environment, while having fun with colleagues you might be a fit for our work environment.

Job responsibilities will be as follows:
Review freight documents and organize to prioritize by date and vendor for obtaining vendor charges
Obtaining vendor charges and auditing for accuracy and legitimacy.
Work with operations managers to resolve discrepancies on freight invoices
Work with carriers and agents by email or websites to obtain charges
Entering costs into transportation software
Handle high volume of freight costs gathering and data entry
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
2-year associate degree (finance or accounting major preferred)
Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk, and deal with problems
Able to work well under pressure
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and provide input for continuous improvement.
2 or more years? experience in accounting-related role
Superior attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and high level of organization approach to work is essential.
Preferred computer skills: Outlook and Excel
