We are the only studios in the Black Hills serving three locations and hundreds of students and families in Western South Dakota and Eastern Wyoming. The position is long term and has room for growth and advancement with our Academy family. The position may rotate shifts between our two Rapid City locations, to manage our office operations, provide 5-star Customer Service to our outstanding families, answer telephones, responding to inquiries, provide support to the administrative staff and work alongside our teaching faculty to create solutions and systems in our growing business. Working in our software, sharing news of our programs, designing marketing materials and tending organizational details are all tasks which will be included in this position.
FT/Fabulous Office Manager:
We are seeking a full-time office manager who can go the extra mile with us in providing 5-star client care at the Academy of Dance Arts growing studios in Rapid City and Sturgis.
Bookkeeping, business, or accounting background is essential and experience with Mac, Google docs, Adobe software and a variety of social media platforms is a plus! Our positive classrooms and drama-free dance environment is staffed by amazing teachers who develop important life and leadership skills in our students. Ability for our office manager to work independently, and manage dynamic calendars with our respected team is necessary. Dependability, professionalism, punctuality and friendliness are a must!
Duties:
Work includes good problem-solving and prioritizing skills that follow the studio's annual calendar of classes and performances with unique and specific assignments and needs, both standard and non-standard. Greeting clients, registering students, fitting students for dancewear, and handling point of sale items, email correspondence and marketing, and maintaining a clean and tidy work environment is part of the position. We value team members who are open to accommodating a wide-range of needs as they arise daily, from basic cleaning tasks to detailed accounting deliverables.
Specific examples include:
Read and keep apprised of organizational directives and procedures in order to be aware of changes and improvements affecting the work of the organization. Such procedures concern preparation and processing of correspondence, media forms, email, mail procedures and more.
Provide answers to a wide variety of inquiries. Provide explanations of office functions, describing specific requirements, providing basic instructions, or a similar degree of detail. Perform data entry and keyboarding tasks as needed.
Greet visitors, dancers and families and answers the telephone. Provide routine information and answer many types of inquiries on all studio activities such as classes, scheduling and directions to facilities. Refer difficult, technical, or specialized questions to the appropriate director or team members.
Drive retail and service operations to sell such items as clothing, equipment, programs, classes, class cards, and services. Accountable for funds collected and managed daily. Maintain accountability records as required.
Use word processing software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print a variety of standardized documents using a glossary of formats, form letters, standard paragraphs, and mailing lists. Use database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort, or calculate, and retrieve data for reports.
Work independently to complete tasks with the potential to supervise reception staff upon completion of training period.
Hours:

Key Requirements:
You must be a US Citizen.
Have a satisfactory background investigation.
Successful completion of 3 years of study beyond high school -OR-
a combination of education and experience to satisfy the above listed requirements.
Must have strong organizational skills, reliable transportation, ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure due to client needs and organization deadlines.
