We currently are looking for a great team member to join our sales department as a FT Director of Sales .
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Sales is responsible for successfully acquiring (cold calls) and managing profitable contract and group revenues that meet or exceed hotel revenue. This position will be responsible for the sales and catering team at this location while assisting the General Manager in all duties and functions required for efficient operation of the property. This position reports to the General Manager and is accountable to the Director of Sales Hegg Hospitality.

KRA I. REVENUE PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT: Successfully acquire and manage profitable accounts that meet or exceed hotel revenue goals
I.1. Meet/exceed individual and team revenue booking goals in order to meet budget targets
in Group, Catering and Corporate Volume segments
I.2. Establish/manage booking guidelines, rates, group blocks, LNR?s and RFP?s.
I.3. Participate in strategic and business planning with the General Manager and/or Regional Director of Sales. Effectively communicate goals to the entire team.
I.4. Ensure participation in all brand revenue management initiatives by analyzing the STR, brand reports, rate comparisons and participating in weekly revenue calls
KRA II. RELATIONSHIPS: Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with clients, industry contacts, sales team and all hotel associates that are mutually beneficial (40% Impact)
II.1. Continually research and call on new and existing accounts. Develop this skill in team members.
II.2. Lead and mentor sales staff and maintain a positive working relationship with all department heads
II.3. Develop and maintain good working relationships with Brand sales & marketing staff
II.4. Network by attending industry and local events
KRA III. TIME MANAGEMENT: Professionally organize and prioritize all sales team critical tasks
III.1. Execute hotel strategic plans within acceptable time frames
III.2. Share professional sales office standards that includes prime selling times, accountability and respect to meet hotel revenue goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Minimum of 1-2 years prior hotel hospitality sales experience or proven Management experience in a service related industry.
Proven cold sales experience
Previous Supervisory experience required.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Ability to multi-task while prioritizing projects.
