Executive Assistant (Courageous, Considerate, & Bilingual Sp... Job Opening in Las Vegas, Nevada - Alterra Home Loans is looking for an outstanding "take charge" Executive Assistant, who is fluent in both English and Spanish.
This person must be able to strike the right balance of courage and consideration, with the ability to anticipate the needs of a C-level executive and deliver results. The EA must have the inner strength to wrangle the brilliant executive (diplomatically), keeping him on track, in the right meetings, on the right planes, in the right hotels, etc. This special person must be creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission and results driven. A good sense of humor is a must!
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities. A primary quality of the Executive Assistant is confidentiality, as the this person will have access to sensitive information, requiring the EA to display extreme confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
We are looking for an Executive Assistant who would love to come into work each day and do the following;
Type reports, memos, letters and other documents using word relevant computer software.
Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
Record, type and distribute meeting minutes.
Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records management database systems.
File and retrieve corporate documents, records and reports.
Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
Make travel arrangements for executives.
Identify and successfully complete critical aspects of project / task
Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline
Assist other support staff and company personnel as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Special Note: As confidentiality and discretion are critical in this position, the Executive Assistant must execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement. In addition, due to the sensitivity of the information handled and personal nature of this business relationship.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be extremely organized, possess the ability to multitask on a continuous basis, efficient and self-motivated.
This position requires meeting deadlines.
The successful candidate will be expected to produce professional work and approach all assignments with a sense of urgency.
Must be disciplined and focused to handle shifting priorities and seamlessly incorporate time-sensitive assignments within existing priorities.
Must have demonstrated superior word processing skills and experience, along with excellent written, oral communication and persuasion skills when corresponding with government and quasi-governmental agencies.
Able to review and analyze audit working paper, corporate records, and other financial and accounting documents
Familiar with general accounting practices
Able to review and interpret various state statutes and licensing codes
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High sense of urgency and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team
Maintain high level of confidentiality
Required Education and Experience
At least 3 years? experience as an executive assistant.
Outstanding MS Office skills, especially with Outlook, Word and Excel.
Great written and verbal communication skills, including good grammar and spelling.
Enjoy working in a fast paced environment, with flexibility with hours if needed.
Computer savvy and able to quickly learn new technologies.
Enjoys working in a team environment.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Have a positive personality and a ?can do? attitude.
High school degree or GED.
Must be bilingual (Spanish)
