Participate in the provision of design, engineering and support of the enterprise network. Provide direction, information, evaluation and recommendations regarding network solutions. Take responsibility for network design, implementation, performance and support of network projects. Reports to the Regional Network Services Manager.
Essential Duties
Participates in the planning, architecture and design of the enterprise network
Take responsibility for the overall technical delivery of network projects, including planning and execution of the design, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment
Define technical network engineering policies and procedures
Set network engineering standards for hardware, OS and configuration
Maximize network performance by analyzing traffic patterns, tuning, optimizing and load-balancing data flows
Ensure the security of the network by driving standards and policies across all network technology towers
Liaise with other technical teams to determine enterprise solutions or resolve complex problems
Give direction and support to less experienced engineers, and encourage best practice
Ad-hoc international travel for planning or network deployment purposes
Collaboratively work with others in different geographical regions
Minimum 10 years experience in information technology field with at least five years specializing in network and telecoms design and implementation
Expert across LAN, WAN, WiFi, Network Security and IP-Telephony towers
Multiple CCNP level certifications or equivalent experience
Experience with setting network engineering standards with exposure to diverse environments, configurations, technology products and services e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto
dvanced knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, IGRP, OSPF, HSRP, UPD, VoIP, SIP, MPLS, DMVPN, IWAN, WAAS, Riverbed, F5, and QoS strongly desired
Skilled in network security technologies such as CheckPoint, ASA, ACLs, IPSEC, SSL, VPN, NAT, IDS, IPD, ACS, ISE, etc
Experienced in the use of network management tools, performance optimization, tuning, application acceleration and load balancing technologies
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as SDN, private cloud, network virtualization and converged infrastructure and services strongly desired
Experience in working in remote/virtual and culturally diverse team
Must have collaborative interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others to gather requirements and specifications related to technical solution and business performance
Good understanding of the ITIL framework for service managemen
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent work experience required
