Bookkeeper/Accountant Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Full-Time, open to Part-Time.
Job Summary:
The position is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Reconciliations, Payroll, taxes, record keeping and reporting of company. The person will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of all transactions; for identifying and resolving any and all discrepancies, and for regular reconciliation of relevant accounts. The person will work closely with the Operations Manager and occasionally with other Associates of related entities to insure compliance with all accounting, regulatory and tax related transactions and issues.
Essential Functions:
Thoroughness in capturing every transaction accurately, in a timely fashion, and without exception
Generate and provide accurate reporting to Owners and Management as required
Generate and provide accurate reporting to regulators and taxing agencies as required
Perform research as assigned and present findings in a comprehensive form
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and execute accordingly
Maintain files in compliance with regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as and when required
Minimum Qualifications:
Business degree with a concentration in Accounting
Five or more years of increasing responsibility, preferably in an accounting role with experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting
NetSuite/QuickBooks Accounting software knowledge
Knowledge Required:
Generally Accepted Accounting Practices
Microsoft Office Programs
NetSuite/QuickBooks
Microsoft Outlook for managing calendars and e-mail
Development of standard policies and procedures
Skills Required:
Full charge bookkeeping including: strong understanding of budget process, chart of accounts, general ledger account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, quarterly state taxes & financial statement preparation
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects
Ability to evaluate and set workload priorities on tasks
Ability to demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities
Evidence of being a team player and supportive colleague with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage staff as fill-in for Manager.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
This position requires frequent sitting, standing and occasional walking; occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds and must infrequently lift more than 20 pounds or carry objects with both hands and arms; frequently requires continuous hand and finger movement; frequently requires visual acuity at 20 inches or less; and frequent hearing acuity for speech discrimination. The associate must be able to talk and to receive and understand written and oral communication, and give written and oral instruction. The position requires the ability to calculate mathematic problems. Travel is required 25% of the time to clients? office or home, and on company-related business. Reliable transportation is required.
