Wyatt Technology is looking for a software developer to help us design and implement amazing new features to ensure that we remain the undisputed leader in our industry. Our development team is small, brilliant, talented, and passionate. We expect every member to make a significant contribution.
This role includes engineering responsibilities for applications, systems, framework, services, and UI/UX. Development activities relate to software solutions on their own, as well as being part of a whole product solution; i.e., integrating with and complementing Wyatt Technologies? instrument portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop detailed software designs from requirements, working with other team members.
Write source code in C++ and other expression languages according to company standards.
Develop and execute Unit Tests.
Pinpoint and resolve software bugs.
Participate in code reviews: verify maintainability, extensibility and assure complexity has been minimized.
Participate in software team meetings.
Follow WTC standards to properly comment and document code.
Use software configuration management tools for issue tracking, source code control, documentation, and work flow management.
Participate in team activities: Story pointing, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, and Release Planning.
Requirements and Qualifications:
3-5 years of work experience.
Bachelor?s Degree in computer science, or relevant experience.
Experience with C or C++ coding preferably with Microsoft Visual Studio.
Experience in software design.
Experience using software configuration tools such as Surround and git.
Able to review code from other software engineers to company standards.
Skilled in implementing and documenting all aspects of software testing, including unit, integration, and stress testing.
Able to create and interpret complicated technical documentation in English.
Experience with JavaScript and Python desirable.
Experience with software lifecycle process desirable.
Experience building software distributions desirable.
