Warehouse Receiver Job Opening in Clackamas, Oregon - Distribution company looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Must be available 5 days a week, Full-Time. Freight mainly consists of bakery goods, servicing customers throughout seven western states.
Freight: Bread, Pastries, Chips, and Coffee
Shift: 6:00am-done (9-12 hr shift)
Days off: Wednesday's and Sunday's
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Prepare all outgoing shipping notices in compliance with the customer, freight carrier and the Accounting Department.
Work with shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other various records.
Determine space requirements of shipping and schedule freight carriers accordingly.
Perform quality inspection of all incoming materials.
Will verify accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments.
Record all shipping information in the computer database.
Prioritize multiple tasks
Work with leads to stage and inventory all shipments appropriately.
Qualification Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
Maintain a clean & safe environment
Physical demands and abilities:
Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
Frequently lift up to 70 pounds or higher and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
Having a good sense of balance
Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
