Financial Analyst Job Opening in Provo, Utah - GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs a variety of working level, professional duties as needed to develop, implement and monitor financial systems and report that information to company leaders.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Develop various analytical models for evaluating processes, procedures, costs and other operational efficiencies.
Report results and analysis to executive team using multiple tools including Adaptive Insights and Tableau
Assist in conducting annual budget reviews with countries
Develop expense cost analysis
Examine and analyze corporate expenditures for appropriateness and financial reporting
Analyze expense & cost structure and verify accuracy and completeness of related information contained in Adaptive and Baan and other financial reporting systems.
Monitor capital and other expenditures and assures accuracy of actual to budget data & report that information to management.
Develop graphic illustrations of cumulative work production results as needed to facilitate management decisions related to product and process priorities
Create computer edit lists as needed to monitor and determine current status and accuracy of capital and other expenditures structures.
Develop spreadsheet methodology, create macro programs and linking documents as needed to monitor, track, allocate and justify financial activity of the various affiliates.
Produces intermittent and final reports essential to the verification of the corporation financial strength and growth.
Provide technical and professional assistance to countries in establishing budgetary priorities and proposals
Assist external auditors in the preparation of financial analysis models
Verify compliance with established plans, policies, procedures and control systems
Develop reports for use in local offices as well as corporate office
Assist and act as backup to corporate consolidation personnel in the preparation of monthly financial reports
Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, business management or related field. Work experience in financial analysis or accounting is a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles a plus
Experience with databases a plus
Budgeting experience a plus
Ability to analyze a variety of financial problems and make recommendations
Ability to coordinate a variety of financial administrative matters between executives and country managers
