Staff Accountant Job Opening in Caribou, Maine - AMHC has an immediate opening for a full time (40 hrs/wk) Staff Accountant to work out of the Central Administrative Office in Caribou.
The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant is to perform complex budgeting and accounting functions; conducts financial, statistical and analytical studies, prepares and assists in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and ratios. The Staff Accountant assists the senior leadership team and other personnel in technical budgetary matters in the general preparation and administration of the budget and will make recommendations for programs as appropriate.
Qualifications: An Associate?s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but will also consider a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of AMHC operations experience with a strong ability to learn and perform all of the required duties and functions. This candidate must be detailed-oriented and be proficient in Excel and Word; knowledge of other accounting software packages a plus. This position requires specialized subject matter expertise in the most complex budgeting and accounting functions. Critical thinking is required for the application and interpretation of data.
