Revenue Cycle Analyst Job Opening in Plano, Texas - Role and Responsibilities
Supports multiple clients with a team of Revenue Cycle Analysts located in a centralized office.
Core Functions
Posting patient and carrier payments in Revenue Cycle Management system (RCM)
Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure account balances are current
Insurance verification
Review patient statements for accuracy
Reviewing and submitting patient claims
Reviews reports, identifies denied claims, researches and resolves issues, may perform a detailed reconciliation of accounts, resubmits claim to payer
Works with Revenue Cycle team to resolve payment and billing errors
Answers patients? payment, billing, and insurance questions and resolves complaints
Contacts payers to resolve payer issues, expedite claim processing and maximize medical claim reimbursement
Submits appeals with documentation to payers
Maintains credit balances of patients and payers ensuring timely refunds within government
Interact with client
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience in the healthcare industry REQUIRED
Highly detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
Strong financial analysis skills, analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity
Ability to investigate problems and develop/communicate solutions
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
Ability to act and operate independently, with minimal supervision
Bachelor?s Degree preferred
Additional skills preferred include:
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with eCW platform
Strong Excel skills
Medical terminology
