Property Accountant Job Opening in Greensboro, North carolina - PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT
We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join The Carroll Companies, a successful construction/real estate development company headquartered in Greensboro, NC. Demonstrated experience as a Property Accountant for the multi-family industry is required. This position is responsible for timely and accurately maintaining all accounting books and records for assigned properties, including but not limited to:
The preparation and review of journal entries, review of general ledgers, generation of financial reports.
Cash management for assigned properties through the preparation of cash flow projections, distribution of any funds, and timely debt payments.
Analyze, evaluate, and generate special reports as required by senior management.
Effectively communicate with the owners/property managers the financial condition of their assets through the review of monthly reports.
Assist on-site teams in compiling and analyzing all relevant financial information to help the properties achieve the goals and objectives of the company and management.
Accurately and timely file relevant back-up information, and debt payment documentation in assigned files.
Pull reports, copy files, and prepare reports as needed for audits.
Prepare all closing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Review the financial statements and initiate corrections as needed.
Accurately and timely copy, collate, assemble, and distribute all report packages to appropriate management teams and senior management.
Accurately organize and file all accounting closing reports and variance reports.
Audit vendor statements as needed monthly.
Answer vendor and senior management inquiries.
Prepare accounts payable checks.
Completes monthly closings.
Process new business accounts and set up accounts as needed.
Assists with accounts receivables and special projects as needed.
Assist with the preparation, mailing and filing of 1099 reports annually as required by law.
Maintains good public relations and interacts with management teams, residents, and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 to 3 years direct property management experience
Bachelor?s Degree from 4 year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of full cycle accounting and experience with processing financial statements for multiple multi-family properties.
