Junior Accountant Job Opening in New York, New york - Gibbs & Cox Inc. is seeking an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company?s finances. The major function to this role is to support project billing. This will consist of preparing and submitting bi-weekly/monthly invoices for CPFF, FFP and T&M type contracts. This position is located in our New York City office.
Requirements
Proven experience as a junior accountant
Good attention to detail
Good with numbers and figures and analytical skills
Must have strong work ethic
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Possess effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principle and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with Deltek/Costpoint, A/P, A/R and Billing a plus.
Must be a US Citizen
