Aviata provides global next-generation IoT Communication Platforms, Customer Experience Management (CXM) solutions, and custom software development services to our customers through B2B relationships. Our objective is to help our customers have streamlined and highly relevant engagements with their end users (their customers). Aviata is strongly positioned at the intersection of several high growth areas including automated business services, in-product messaging, digital marketing, and IoT.
The Role:
The Technical Sales Associate will be responsible for generating demand for Aviata solutions through 1) outbound tactical sales and 2) working with marketing to respond to leads generated through SEO Marketing, Developer Communities, Blogs, and Social Media. We are looking for a smart, resourceful and driven individual who has a solid track record in sales, and a strong technical background in at least one of the following: software, databases, marketing automation, general IT and/or IoT. The Technical Sales Representative will lead the efforts for identifying and fine-tuning target markets for our products through research, networking, and cold calling. This individual will have the opportunity to build Aviata?s sales programs from the ground up, which is a great opportunity for a self-starter.
Responsibilities:
* Become an expert on Aviata?s products/services
* Prospect, penetrate, and create new relationships with potential consulting and custom software development customers
* Initial point of contact for any interest generated from the lead generation campaigns/programs
* Respond in a timely manner to inbound inquiries about Aviata?s products or services
* Meet or exceed sales objectives
* Manage prospective customer relationships
* Generate qualified appointments through research, networking, and cold calling
Desired Skills & Experience
* A technical degree in a relevant field such as computer science, or information technology or other four year degree with demonstrated success in selling technical solutions
* Proven track record generating sales
* Ability to work cooperatively with, and gain the respect of software developers
* Must be willing to take initiative to solve problems, and recommend improvement plans
* Strong analytical skills and experience developing accounts within target markets
* Excellent presentation skills and strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
* Experience using SalesForce (or similar) to track progress of sales and lead generation campaigns, and manage prospects is desired
* Experience with contracts of five figures or more.
* 3 years of outside sales experience required, experience developing and implementing lead generation programs is a plus (experience dealing with software or other technical products preferred)
Education
BA Degree required (technical field preferred)
