DWD Audit Examiner Job Opening in Indianapolis, Indiana - The Department of Workforce Development is currently seeking an Audit Examiner 3. This position is responsible for working with and collecting on employer accounts where the employer has outstanding liabilities, delinquent reporting communication and resolution. The Audit Examiner also provides information to the Collection and Enforcement Unit Manager for evaluation and determination regarding quality performance.
Responsibilities :
Validate and evaluate debt with regard to employer correspondence challenging the debt validity or computation and taking the proper course of action with regard to the employer challenge.
Enforce, evaluate, validate and explain estimation statute and agency practice to employers.
Escalate employer protests for manager and director review prior to an Administrative Law Judge hearing request being generated.
Act as the Agency?s witness in employer liability protest litigation.
Negotiate and establish employer payment agreements within the established parameters for employers with outstanding liabilities.
Evaluate, resolve, and post employer reporting where the employer is up to five years delinquent through employer direct contact, internal account imaging research, and web research per established work instructions.
Meet or exceed the Tax Performance System quality standard for report delinquency resolution and employer action.
Provide feedback to the Collection and Enforcement (CEU) Manager on individual and team performance to established goals.
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) years work experience in accounting; auditing; business administration or accredited college training in a related field.
