Assistant Activity Coordinator Job Opening in New Orleans, Louisiana - Resident Activity Assistant Coordinator needed for long-term health care facility located in Uptown New Orleans.
Viable candidates must be sincerely interested in our resident?s health, and assist the Director with developing a program to support their physical and psychological well-being through recreational activities. Candidate will have effective communication, creative, organizational skills and be able to work flexible hours. Hourly rate to commensurate with experience and includes competitive benefit package
Typical Duties:
Ability to accomplish tasks and projects as delegated by the Director of Activities in an accurate and timely manner
Assist in developing, organizing, and provides group recreation/activity to adult residents
Participates and assist in treatment planning for assigned residents, including assessments, documentation of services on residents
Maintains recreation/activity supplies, events, and equipment in accordance with budget
Requirements :
Certification as Resident Activity Director preferred but not required
Experience working with recreational therapy, music therapy, or art therapy required
Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience working in a medical, health care facility, or rehabilitation setting
Able to pass National and State Background check and pre-employment drug screen
