Technical Sales Representative - Midwest Territory Job Opening in Houston, Texas - Job Objective: Develops ULI business opportunities to increase revenues and profits through penetrating all levels of refineries in an assigned territory. Maintains current accounts and cultivates new opportunities for the sale of ULI products and services. Seeks out other oil and gas opportunities to promote ULI services.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Strategic sales:
Establishes and maintains a strong understanding of how ULI chemicals and services support refinery processes.
Understands and employs sales techniques and sales models.
Collaborates with sales leadership to establish and refine sales strategy and set goals for assigned territory and/or accounts.
Uses knowledge of upcoming customer events to design a sales and marketing plan for assigned area. Directs the implementation and execution of sales plans and ensures communications are coordinated within the organization.
Preferentially targets key customers to maintain short term revenue while fostering long term relationships.
Establishes contact and nurtures and maintains good personal relationships with client base.
Contacts and meets with higher level customers, such as National Contract Managers of major oil companies.
Participates in project job walks with clients to establish job scopes.
Writes proposals and closes the sale.
Achieves annual sales targets based on measurable goals.
Sales Reporting:
Projects quarterly sales.
Inputs daily sales activity into .
Tracks and reports goal completion and variances quarterly.
Reports to sales manager on new and future jobs.
Customer support:
Gathers and communicates customer feedback to ensure customer concerns are addressed.
Recommends new solutions and services by evaluating current customer solutions and identifying needs to be filled. Monitor projects during execution for potential problems. Maintain proactive communications with customers during project execution.
Addresses challenging customer issues and manages customer expectations.
Develops and implements operations goals and objectives aimed at improving customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness (both operationally and project specific).
Addresses and negotiates problematic project change of scope orders with guidance from internal resources including operations, finance, and contract management.
Other Sales activities:
Works within a team environment for continual process improvement. This includes sharing of ideas to improve sales, sharing leads internally, and taking an active role in developing marketing strategy and sales improvement initiatives.
Establishes and maintains proficiency at presenting technical presentations to customers.
Works trade shows as directed.
Other duties as assigned.

Global Vapor Control Operations and Sales
PetroServ Operations and Sales
Qualifications:
5 or more years of refining/industrial sales experience including basic knowledge of refinery operations and equipment.
Knowledge of refinery turnaround planning, execution and scheduling.
Experience selling industrial services and developing customer relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed including travel out of town up to 80% of the time.
Educational Requirements: BS/BA in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or Environmental Management a plus. High School diploma required.
