Intelligence Analyst (RUSSIAN OSINT) Job Opening in Dayton, Ohio - DarkStar Intelligence, LLC is currently seeking a highly motivated Russian Open Source Analyst. THIS WORK REQUIRES A TS/SCI AND IS CONTINGENT UPON AWARD. The position will be located in Dayton, Ohio. Proposed work start date is October 2017.
Responsibilities include:
Discover, acquire, process (to include translation), and organize open source information on research/discovery of programs and foreign Science & Technology institutes and universities engaged in weapon system and capabilities development..
Translate both technical literature and common vernacular.
Document and evaluate its analytic methodologies and sources.
Work closely with the NASIC and Intelligence Community (IC) analysts to clearly identify and understand NASIC and IC information needs.
Perform research in open sources for information relevant to the analyst information needs, with a specific focus on Russian language sources of information.
Evaluate research results for relevancy and accuracy of, and confidence in, the information and sources used in the open source product and ensures the quality of the resulting product provided to the analyst and answers their information needs.
Collaborate with OSINT analyst, librarians, technical information specialists, systems engineering, translators, and other squadron personnel to investigate, evaluate, and make sound recommendations with respect to new sources of information, search techniques, and enhancements to existing or new OSINT systems, tradecraft, processes, and tools.
Assist in monitoring special projects, participates on open source production teams, and provides support to Russian Working Groups.
Apply independent judgement in balancing the operational need for accuracy and expediency in satisfying production objectives.
Protect classified material; and demonstrates sound security practices for ensuring and safeguarding of classified information.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
DoD TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor?s degree with no less than 5 years of experience (8 years with HS diploma)
Proficiency in Russian and English Languages 2/2 required (3/3 preferred)
Strong web based research skills; experience using a variety of social media platforms, language translation software, open source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.
High level of competency with Microsoft Suite tools, including Word, Power Point, and Excel.
