Job Description: : As a Carrier Sales Coordinator, you will aggressively market the Roadrunner Truckload Plus brand to establish and develop strong relationships with third party carriers, ensure that all booked freight is covered using both internal assets and our partner carriers, and manage the safe and cost efficient delivery of our customers products.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Ensures customer's freight is picked up and delivered using safe, reliable carriers.
Develop and manage a network of outside carriers to ensure adequate capacity for their assigned market.
Negotiate with carriers to meet margin requirements and ensure maximum profitability.
Ensure customer satisfaction and adequate service levels where freight is picked up and delivered using safe, reliable carriers.
Manage all freight in transit by obtaining adequate updates from carriers/drivers to monitor movement and ensure on time delivery.
Communicate with your team on coverage, service, capacity and margin, as well as any problems (team player to the extreme and major solution provider).
Cross-train to participate in ALL accounts, and also to handle vacations, sick and personal days.
Proactively communicate pertinent shipment details to/from motor carriers, and our internal team.
Develop new and existing customers.

Skills: Preferred: college degree; experience dispatching for truckload broker or carrier
Language Skills: Relies on written and verbal communication.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the moderately complex documents and financial data.
Ability to present to groups.
Communicates internally with the entire corporate office, and externally with field offices.
