Retail Sales Associate Job Opening in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The Sausage Foundry and Big Boy Meats are looking for enthusiastic self-motivated people to help run two thriving businesses within the NewBo City Market. Successful application will have a demonstrated and verifiable work history, great references, character, be willing to learn new things quickly, and retain that knowledge. This person will report directly to management of Big Boy Meats and The Sausage Foundry. This position has the potential to be up to 34 hours weekly depending on performance and desire. Upward potential based on performance of job duties, such as increasing sales over normal during hours worked.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to lift 20 or more pounds, up to 80 pounds helpful.
2. Ability to be on feet for 8 hours if needed.
3. Honest.
4. Prompt.
5. Able to be trained.
6. Good with math.
7. Excited about high quality proteins and the ability to convey that excitement to current and prospective customers.
8. Be cell phone free during working hours.
9. Great attitude focusing on customer service.
10. Ability to clean thoroughly during/after each shift.
