The Opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the Site Accountant role will partner with the Plant and Financial Management teams to make informed decisions about the effective control and use of plant assets. Responsible for all aspects of cost accounting the successful applicant will provide financial leadership to the Beaumont, Memphis MMA and Belle sites in reporting, budgeting, internal controls, cost containment, and systems utilization.
The Site Accountant will serve as the single point of contact for the Site Managers and Financial Analysis Manager; providing leadership to identify, develop and implement best practices across other Lucite sites and businesses in cost accounting and reporting.
The role delivers a wide scope of responsibilities including managing Manufacturing Close; Variable and Fixed Production Costs; annual budget development, forecasting, audit support and account reconciliations, and serves as the SAP expert for the Beaumont, Memphis and Belle sites; fielding queries and coordinating with IT to resolve issues.
About You
As an experienced finance professional you will be skilled in all aspects of cost accounting particularly within a manufacturing environment.
Serving as the single point of contact for Site Managers across three sites, it is essential that you have excellent stakeholder management skills, coupled with the ability to balance priorities in a role.
A degree in Accounting or Finance, or a CPA with relevant experience is essential, plus at least 3-5 years? experience in manufacturing accounting.
Any previous SAP ERP system experience would be a distinct advantage, and IFRS knowledge would be beneficial.
