Financial Controller Job Opening in Tifton, Georgia - CooperCraft Communications specializes in installation and upgrade of integrated security solutions, network cabling infrastructure, and life safety systems. As a senior executive reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will perform effective financial and risk management and plan the company?s financial strategy. The position will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Tifton, GA. The Controller will be responsible for the oversight of all accounting, financial and risk management functions. The Controller will coordinate a variety of activities relating to employees, customers, suppliers, auditors, banks, regulatory agencies and others. This accounting professional will maintain and improve a variety of accounting related systems and procedures including payroll, payables, financial reporting and analysis. Candidates must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive financial integrity and sustainability of the business
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and manage cash flow and forecasting, including periodic financial snapshots and short and long term analyses
Lead budgeting process and annual implementation of budgets
Manage key external financial and risk management relationships, including banking and investment, and surety/insurance relationships
Identify and implement recommendations to optimize the financial effectiveness of the company
Provide leadership for financial and project accounting across the business in support of operational and company goals and needs
Provide ownership and oversight of company balance sheet, revenue estimates, direct and indirect expenses
Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and all associated fiscal reporting, including department budgets, general ledger account maintenance and data entry
Develop, implement and maintain finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures including establishing and maintaining internal cost and compliance control safeguards
Participate in pro forma development and proposal reviews for new business opportunities
Produce certified payroll reports and other regulatory and compliance actions
Serve as subject matter expert to develop financial knowledge of accounting and operations teams
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:
Demonstrated professional history of progressively responsible leadership experience in financial and accounting industries
Related degree required
10+ years of related experience with a track record of significant organizational contributions
CPA and/or cost accounting certification preferred
Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards is a must
Experience in a fast paced business driving growth and change
Capability to identify and capitalize on opportunities quickly; ability to maintain effective balance between strategic and tactical priorities
Experience managing overall financial performance, using financial analysis to evaluate strategic opportunities and understanding key financial indicators
Ability to solve complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback
