Regional Accounting Manager Job Opening in Maitland, Florida - We are looking for a Regional Accounting Manager who combines a solid background in accounting and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. You should be detail-oriented and have sound judgment and strong reasoning skills, as well as good analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and direct AP, AR and Staff Accountants for your region
Facilitate the monthly general ledger close process to stay within the timelines of the corporate close schedule.
Confirming financial status monitoring revenue and expenses and coordinating the collections
Reconcile data fluctuations, negative trends, and inconsistencies
Review and approve bank account reconciliation, balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure they are accurate and complete.
Analyze balance sheet, P&L, KPIs, products, systems, controls, customers, and suppliers
Work directly with operational leaders as it relates to forecasting and P&L reviews. Identify accounting and internal control issues within the assigned business units directly and indirectly related to their forecast, develop action plans for resolution, communicate findings and assist in the action plans for resolution. Participate in operations and planning meetings as requested or assigned. Act as liaison between the Accounting team and operations management.
Working with direct reports to establish performance goals and objectives for each year as well as monitoring and advising on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
Financial and ad-hoc reporting
Required Skills and Experience
BA or BS Accounting degree required.
Previous experience managing employees required.
Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and the significance of each financial statement.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities.
Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner.
Adaptable to change.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
High level of flexibility regarding overtime during times busy periods as required by the business
