Manager Trainee Job Opening in Seaside, Oregon - Rack Room Shoes, located at the Outlet Mall in Seaside, is looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person to come and join our Store. We are actively searching for a new member of our management team. As a Manager Trainee, hours of availability must be flexible and there must be reliable transportation. This is a full-time position (32-40 hours year round) that will include benefits. We are looking for someone who wants to invest with us, and not just have a job. Pay rate starts at $11, can be adjusted based on experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Manager Trainee assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring that 100% compliance exists with all established company policies and procedures. Provides leadership, guidance and training to the store staff via direction from the Store Manager and the Assistant store manager. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, the Manager Trainee assumes full responsibility for all store operations. Consistently strives to meet and exceed all established sales, service and operational objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Primary responsibility is the safety and Welfare of employees and customers
Create, establish and maintain an excellent customer service shopping experience.
Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
Provide service training and Leadership to staff members.
Manage customer issues with a sense of urgency and to the satisfaction of our customer.
Opening and closing responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to:
Cash Control, including POS Operations
Deposits
Accounting and Bookkeeping
Doors, Locks and Security Systems
Inventory control responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to:
Shipping and Receiving
Price management (price changes, markdowns, Etc)
Singles
Damaged merchandise
Conducting a Physical Inventory
Sales Floor Merchandising and Visual Presentation responsibilities to include adherence to company standards:
Merchandise Placement
Sales floor maintenance and housekeeping
Promotional event directions, materials and signage
Payroll control responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to:
Scheduling
Payroll budget compliance
Maintaining proper staffing levels to accommodate the business needs
Training and dDevelopment of direct reports, responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to:
Utilisation of all available training tools
Consistent reinforcement of customer service standards
Loss prevention responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to the protection and control of all company assets
Work towards a complete understanding of managing all day-to-day operations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Managerial and organization skills
Strong and interpersonal skills necessary for customer and employee interactions
Strong visual merchandising skills
working knowledge of footwear accessories and shoe care
Basic mathematical skills
Knowledge of corporate and store operation policies and procedures
