CRM DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR Job Opening in SAN DIEGO, California - This is a temp to perm position. Seeking CRM Database Administrator to maintain the integrity of new and legacy data systems, ensuring timely, relevant and consistent reporting supporting both internal staff and external customers. Ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering reliable, data-driven systems, reporting and end user training.



Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the CRM Database Administrator is responsible for the administration and continuing development of CRM database and related systems. Primary responsibilities include the strategic integration of information application systems, systems maintenance and training of end users, output production, ensuring database integrity, serving as liaison for technical questions and capabilities, and system improvements. Expected to maintain and improve existing applications, as well as design and configure new systems to support the business growth and efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Develop database systems solutions and associated technical services designed to support organizational objectives through data analysis, modeling and management.

- Strategically integrate information system applications to support business operations. Work with various hardware and software applications to deploy highly integrated processes that align with the business goals and objectives of the organization. Ensure the database and operations support strategies - translating strategic goals and tactics into operation.

- Maintain efficient database and operations. Manage all existing configurations and tables; Oversee and audit all input of data; Periodically eliminate obsolete query, export and report parameter settings; Oversee all global changes and/or data imports to maintain data.

- Support production of outputs. Support the production of standard and custom reports (weekly, monthly, on demand). Work with other staff and/or consultants to identify standard reports that could be run by staff on their own. Be point person for custom and one-time reporting requests. Assist users with query and export requests for newsletter mailings, fundraising appeal generation and segmentation, etc. Create and maintain mail merge processes.

- Ensure database integrity and security. Conduct weekly and monthly audits of data to confirm use of accurate entry processes and system integration; Identify and eliminate duplicate records; Maintain users and security settings for the system; Produce or support verified month and year-end reports.

- In collaboration with CFO, develop meaningful dashboard metric reporting for entire organization and key personnel.

- Provide ongoing assistance to users. Ensure that process documentation is kept current and is easily accessible. Develop and deliver targeted training to current and new users.

- Serve as liaison and point of contact to external vendors of system programs and applications.

- Identify and deploy system improvements to continuously meet evolving goals and priorities. Maintain knowledge of technology developments with database and, as requested, in other areas to identify potential uses (e.g. web technologies, integration opportunities, etc.). Analyze existing processes and make recommendations to better streamline the overall opportunities operations process within the CRM. Review and implement complementary products from software vendors and confer with executive management about opportunities.

- Assist CFO with light in-house IT needs and coordination of outsourced IT support vendor (BPOC).

Requirement:

- Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related discipline is preferred.

- At least two years of CRM administration and operational support, ideally with salesforce.com, is required.

- Must have experience with cloud-based applications and demonstrated experience designing/building/ managing a data platform. Website integration experience preferred.

- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills, relationship management, requirements analysis skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and activities.

- Must also possess the ability to synthesize reporting requirements including: formats, common themes, and patterns.

- 5+ years of experience in database administration and management is preferred.

- Formal Salesforce.com training and/or certification is preferred.
