Software Solutions Developer - PLC Developer Job Opening in Manheim, Pennsylvania - Position will be responsible for following the design and development of web-based application software, high-level software development based on proprietary languages and low-level software (firmware) for microcontrollers in established product platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Responsible for the design, deployment and implementation of customer network connections to Carel hosted applications.
Schedules, follows, and evaluates all electronic service related projects
Develops Product solutions by modifying existing firmware, developing the specifications with Customers, implementing them within the product platform, and testing/validating the resulting product.
Customizes and implements local dashboard and enterprise solutions on a project-by-project basis.
Participates in the development of future dashboard and enterprise solutions for the North American market.
Responsible for interfacing directly with the customer IT or development staff, attending site visits and facilitating deployment to network connectivity between Carel systems and customer sites.
Consults with Carel IT and Corporate Management on standards, major policies and global IT issues.
Works with sales team to provide feedback based on customer requests, industry trends, and domain knowledge to develop and enhance electronic service offerings.

3+ years? experience working with HVAC/R Automatic Controls and Electronics in a technical or commercial role
Skilled user of MS Office and MS Excel
Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience:
C++, C# or equivalent computer languages
Knowledge of Electronics
Experience with General Java language with a focus on JSP (Java Server Pages) (minimum 2 years)
Experience in General HTML, Javascript, and/or CSS (minimum 2 years)
Experience with dashboard tools, preferably Jaspersoft
Experience performing database queries and utilizing database table data
Basic knowledge of Network/IT Infrastructure
Knowledge in Operative Systems
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to communicate to a group of people, and interact with Customers.
