Staff Accountant **Immediate Need Job Opening in Alpharetta, Georgia - Applied Resource Group is actively seeking a skilled Staff Accountant for our enterprise client in the Atlanta, GA area. We are seeking at least 2-4 years of experience with an individual who has their CPA or is on the CPA track. This individual needs to be a self-starter, who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and a strong understanding with GAAP and Excel.
Responsibilities:
Work with GAAP and preform General Ledger financial accounting including performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, revenue recognition and journal entries.
Prepares and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and general ledger account analysis.
Present P&L review to upper c-suite management.
Responsible for accruals, new account set-up, general ledger close/adjustments, and working with the accounting team to resolve issues
Track the changes of account values by monitoring debits and credits and monitoring the balance sheet.
Utilize Excel for daily use including v-Lookups and creating pivot tables, etc.
Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system.
Participates in external audit by assisting in the preparation of required schedules and supplemental information, and/or responding to inquiries of external auditors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and at least 2-4 years of accounting experience.
CPA or CPA?track required.
US GAAP experience and a strong background working with Revenue recognition
Experience in systems implementation and process improvements is a plus.
Proficiency with MS Office (advanced skills in Excel and Word) required
Must have experience with one of the following ERP / accounting systems (MS AX, PeopleSoft, SAP MS Dynamics GP, Oracle, Intacct, etc.)
Extremely detail-oriented, quick learner and ability to work independently
Some travel may be required
